Robert Satiacum, a Democratic elector in Washington state, has said that he will not cast his vote in the electoral college for Hillary Clinton regardless of the outcome among Washington voters. If Mr. Satiacum is not willing to do the job of an elector and represent the people of Washington, he should resign in favor of someone who better understands what the role entails.
Why is this important?
I'm a Washington State resident who voted for Hillary Clinton. If Mr. Satiacum goes through with his plan of representing his own personal feelings on the election over properly doing the job of an electoral college member, I feel my vote - and the votes of other Clinton supporters - will not count.
