Rosie Shields Residents speak up on behalf of Normandy School Students

Senior Residents at Rosie Shields Manor will make the long trip to Jefferson City, MO to speak up on behalf of the children of the Normandy School District whose voices have been ignored by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. The students who have served the residents lunch, fun, and friendship for 8 months are about to lose their school district. The kids are terrified and for the seniors, this feel like the protest marches of the days of Civil rights.

Why is this important?

We care about these wonderful kids. They have bright futures which are in jeopardy now because nobody seems to care that they are about to lose their school district. We have something to say about that!
