Ryan response

To Harry Reid, Senate Majority Leader,

The 2012 budget shall maintain Medicare exactly as it presently is and the tax rate for the wealthy shall be returned to the pre Bush tax cut level. Additionally the tax breaks for Big Oil shall be abolished.

This proposed budget should be brought to the floor for an up or down vote or, if faced with a filibuster, the filibuster should be forced to require an actual filibuster and not a paper filibuster.

Why is this important?

The Democratic Senate should propose an answer to the Ryan budget and force a vote or an actual filibuster. Make the Republican senators go on record as preferring a change in Medicare to an increase in taxes on the wealthy and removal of the tax breaks for Big Oil.
