Please help us urge the United Nations and the rich Arab states to provide some ships that are leisurely cruising to instead help bring refugees safely aboard toward South Europe. Instead of the rubber boats that have failed many drowning victims, the desperate Syrian war refugees should be able to be safely boarded, fed, warmed and have their papers processed until the next destination is agreed upon.
Why is this important?
I am a Lebanese American who fled the civil war in Lebanon 30 years ago, but I was fortunate that my dad could pay our plane tickets and provide us with a home here. It aches my heart to see the drownings happening in the Mediterranean while there are ships around !!
