Why is this important?
Donald Trump wants to increase the power of law enforcement in Black communities, like Chicago, but wants to kill the institution that hold police accountable to the law itself. We can not bend and bow to Trumps terror tactics and threats.
For the past 60 years the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice has protected the rights of all Americans--including voting rights, the rights of Black folks and other people of color, women, people with disabilities, and religious minorities. And now, Donald Trump wants to eliminate all of that. Stop him now!
