Approaching its milestone 25 th year, Henrico County Book Bowl has been cancelled by the school board without community input. This program is a low cost way to encourage reading and to provide enrichment to students in Henrico county. This is a wonderful program that should not be terminated.
Why is this important?
As constituents of Henrico and parents of former and prospective Book Bowl team members, we are devastated that Book Bowl was cancelled without any community input. Book Bowl reaches and addresses the needs of MANY and creates a positive and supportive "team" for those kids who may not have other forums for team competition.
