Up until now, Nebraska has had a pristine environment. Now, there are hundreds of people pushing for oil pipelines to be built in Nebraska. Can you imagine the disasterous effects a leaking pipeline could have on our lovely state? Let alone how the digging and heavy equipment would scar the land? We don't need all of that money from the construction....it's only temporary! Plus, the XL Pipeline would be carrying oil from Canada to the Gulf of Mexico to be shipped to OTHER countries. It's not for us! The politicians are trying to make some quick money for themselves, it won't trickle down to the average person. Please sign this petition and STOP the politicians from pushing the pipelines through, under the table.
Why is this important?
Nebraska is very fortunate to have a pristine environment, without huge scars from industrial development and building. Please let's keep it this way, without chance of oil spills or leakage and the damage to our environment and our health.
