Unfortunately,the majority of Florida's Nursing Homes provide substandard care to their residents. Stop further weakening of these residents rights to legal redress of their injuries caused by neglect.
Why is this important?
As a former Ombudsman for Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties and as a physician involved in long-term care, I am deeply concerned about legislation that is in committee in the State House to further weaken Nursing Home residents and their families rights to be adequately compensated for injuries caused by neglect by limiting corporate accountability.
