Since human-caused climate change is now a scientific certainty, America must lead the way to climate justice by enacting a carbon tax on coal, oil and natural gas, which will increase investment in clean energy like wind and solar and create millions of jobs.
Why is this important?
n Minnesota we have seen both extreme rainfall and drought, and a temperature rise of around 3-4F degrees since 1960, which threatens our ability to produce food for the nation and the world. Worldwide a temperature increase of 1.4F degrees has caused floods, droughts, fire, extreme temperatures resulting in human suffering and loss of life.
