1. Stop the closing of the U S Postal Service mail processing plant in Gary, IN
2. Stop the closing of rural post offices in Indiana
3. Keep 6 day delivery of mail in Indiana
4. Return the postal service to the delivery standards prior to July, 2012.
5. Return the over funding of retirement accounts to the postal service.
Why is this important?
The U.S. Postal Service plans to close the mail processing plant located @ 1499 Martin Luther King Drive, Gary, IN in Feb. 2013. The mail from the Gary plant will be processed in South Suburban, IL. The Gary plant will lose approx. 200 jobs. Not only will we be losing jobs, the mail is going to be delayed. First class mail will never be the same.
Please help us to stop this disaster from happening.
