Save our water from fracking
Please move AB 591 out of committee and into law. Safe drinking water and climate change are too important to ignore.
Why is this important?
AB 591 is a California bill that will require gas and oil companies to notify agencies & nearby residents of potential environmental hazards during the fracking process. Fracking has been linked to climate changing methane emissions and water contamination from chemicals and natural gas but is not required to adhere to the Safe Drinking Water Act of 1986. This bill is currently held up in the California Senate Appropriations Committee. Please e-mail your State senator to sign this bill into law and encourage others to do the same.
