Save Paul Broun from the Lies of Science!

Remove Representative Paul Broun from the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology immediately.

Representative Paul Broun has made public statements that show his contempt for, and in fact specific denial of, some of the fundamental truths of science: "... evolution and embryology and Big Bang theory, all that is lies straight from the pit of hell. And it’s lies to try to keep me and all the folks who are taught that from understanding that they need a savior."

As such, Representative Broun has no business serving in any capacity relating to science and technology, such as the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology, and we therefore call for the House to remove him from that committee and any similar positions, as he obviously has neither the education nor mindset to properly judge anything in this field, and indeed has shown that his personal beliefs are deeply offended by these concepts and therefore should not be forced to serve in such a personally repellent role.

Why is this important?

Representative Paul Broun (R-Georgia) is part of the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology -- and he shouldn't be. In recorded remarks on September 27th, Mr. Broun said "evolution and embryology and Big Bang theory, all that is lies straight from the pit of hell." It's wrong for someone who rejects the very existence of scientific truths this fundamental to have any say at all on a committee whose focus is science and technology. And he shouldn't be subjected to all of that terrible diabolical science if it so opposes his views.
