Our goal is to stop speeding on Lake Avenue, force drivers to stop for pedestrians waiting to cross in the cross walk and ultimately create a safe environment for pedestrian traffic on Lake Ave. in St. James. We NEED Smithtown Town and Police to help enforce the speeding and pedestrian laws. NOW.
Why is this important?
Lake Avenue in St. James is a very dangerous place to walk, drive or cross the street. Lake Avenue is also home to an Elementary School and many family friendly businesses. It is time to end speeding and dangerous driving and parking.
