Save PRO Hockey in Elmira NY

I'm starting this petition to show the IDA how much Elmira needs PRO Hockey in Elmira. The Fate of the team has not been decided yet, and we feel as though the county is not listening to what the fans want. We all know it was a rough start this year for our new team, but by the end, we had such great support from a lot of fans, even at away games. Having pro Hockey in the First Arena brings Tax Revenue to the local Businesses downtown. Pro Hockey brings Families together and creates new friends and fosters positive Mental health for everyone. Pro hockey has brought joy to peoples life's for over the last 24 years kids and families share a passion for hockey. We have weekly talks maybe daily talks about the league itself players and what we hope for next year. Elmira would love nothing more than to host a commissioner cup final at First Arena and the Elmira river sharks rise That trophy. Pro Hockey brings in Fans from other States and creates more acknowledgement of our city fostering future tourism. Please, we beg of you not to take pro hockey away from Elmira. You would be taking away more than hockey. It's deeper, it's a family, a community kids hopes and dreams. Please allow apro hockey to stay in Elmira.
