Save Public Transit in Atlanta

I urge you to vote against House Bill 264, which would outsource management of MARTA to outside companies.

This bill would threaten the service, safety and affordability of Atlanta's transit system while sending our tax dollars outside the region to line the pockets of executives.

Vote against HB 264 and keep the "public" in Atlanta's public transportation system.

Why is this important?

I’ve seen a lot of things in my eight-year career working for MARTA.

The one thing that keeps me going, though, is knowing I’m able to provide the best service to people who depend on MARTA to get to work, pick their kids up from school or visit their doctor.

But extreme politicians at the state capitol are trying to jeopardize the service, safety and affordability of public transit in Atlanta by pushing a bill to require mandatory privatization of MARTA.

If this legislation passes, people could see the quality of services decrease in order to make room for bigger and bigger profits for the company running the system.

For more than 40 years, we've kept the “public” in Atlanta's public transportation system. Tell your senator to keep it that way.
