Save Retirement and Prevent Bankruptcy in LA
I oppose multimillionaire Richard Riordan's ballot initiative to gut the retirement security of thousands of working families. His "New Defined Contribution Plan" charter amendment will benefit only Wall Street and, by incurring a loss of City revenues, push Los Angeles toward bankruptcy. Moreover, Riordan's paid signature-gatherers are misleading the public about the real costs of this initiative. I have signed the petition titled, "NEW DEFINED CONTRIBUTION PLAN; AMENDMENTS TO EXISTING RETIREMENT PLANS. INTIATIVE CHARTER AMENDMENT," and hereby request to WITHDRAW my name from the petition.
Why is this important?
Concerned citizens in Los Angeles have prepared this petition to oppose a local measure being sponsored by multimillionaire Republican Richard Riordan that would limit retirement security and incur a loss of current city revenues.
