As a resident of Camden County, why wasn't I and all the other voters in our county, given an opportunity to vote on this idea? Please let Camden City (the worst city in our nation) keep their current professional police department since the county does has a County Sheriff's Department.
Why is this important?
Camden City NJ has been one of the top ten worst cities for murders, other crimes and poverty for many years. I feel that to remove this city's police department would be a mistake that the residents of the city and the county will suffer dire consequences for years to come. if the State endorses this idea-maybe NJ State Troopers should be the city's main police enforcement unit.
