Save the children! End gun violence in Chicago
Over the last few years the gun violence in Chicago has escalated to an all time high. This past weekend the City of Chicago reported 7 homicides that included a 7 year old boy named Amari Brown and 34 other shooting incidents. Every child in the United States of America should have the right to enjoy city parks, national holiday festivities, and walk down the street without fear for their lives. If the Chicago Chief of Police cannot protect the most vulnerable citizens of the City of Chicago, we urge the Governor of the State of Illinois to find the resources to support the work or declare a state of emergency. We can no longer say that this is just a Chicago problem because this great nation that we call America can no longer allow our most vulnerable citizens to be gunned down and remain silent. We must, Save the Children! The children of our country that have not been convinced that they have a future to look forward to.
Why is this important?
To urge the Governor of the State of Illinois to find the resources to support the work of the Chicago, Chief of Police and provide the necessary resources to effectively reduce gun violence in the City of Chicago or declare a state of emergency. We can no longer say that this is a Chicago problem because this great nation that we call America can no longer allow our most vulnerable citizens to be gunned down and remain silent. We must, Save the Children! The children of our country that have not been convinced that they have a future to look forward to.
