Save the "Cradle of Conservation"!
Save the beauty of Elkhorn Ranch that inspired the American Conservation Movement. Tell President Obama to protect this historic place by making the area a National Monument.
Why is this important?
The peace and beauty of Theodore Roosevelt's Elkhorn Ranch in North Dakota inspired me when I was there. It also inspired TR to launch the American Conservation Movement. Ironically, this unique and historical place is now threatened by encroaching oil and mineral development. I'm calling on President Obama to exercise the Antiquities Act to create a protective zone around Elkhorn Ranch by making it a National Monument.
