The vast majority of Americans do not want horse slaughter to be legal, in this country or any other, and want our wild horses protected. We are asking for an end to all horse slaughter, and an end of all wild horse round ups. We also ask that the wild horses in "holding" facilities be put back on their land to live out their lives. The 1971 Free Roaming Wild Horse and Burro Act should be enforced, and the horses protected, and their land they occupied in 1971 given back to them. The herds, now mostly genetically unviable due to size, need to be allowed to flourish again.
