On December 6, 2012, President Obama thought he was lighting a tree. What tree? Are you blind, NPS, he lit up the National Christmas Cone.
Is the National Park Service as lazy as Congress these days? I think so. America, does your Christmas tree look like a cone every year? I'd think not. If Rockefeller Center can light up a tree, why does the NPS give us a cone? Are you proud to have a National Christmas Cone every year? NPS, you're federal employees, what's the difference between an Evergreen tree and a Christmas tree? I know the difference between a tree and a cone, do you?

Why is this important?
For as long as I can remember, there has been a National Tree Lighting during the holiday season in Washington DC. Year after year, I reserve hope that for once, the National Tree would actually look like a TREE and not some lit up mound with a star on top of it.
