Save the Russell Martin Park Woods

Russell Martin Park is the only true sanctuary left in the South End where all residents can simply walk in the woods. It is one of a kind and irreplaceable. A bike park would destroy the very character that makes this space unique and special. Our neighborhood does not need to see its only peaceful refuge disrupted and repurposed for a project that caters to a few mountain bike enthusiasts and does little for the greater good.
Leave the woods alone.
Leave the woods alone.
Why is this important?
Don’t we all just need to take a walk in the woods sometimes?
Russell Martin Park’s walking trails affords Concord residents the opportunity to unplug, de-stress, and enjoy the simplicity of a quiet nature walk.
Constructing a bike park in the middle of the forest, situated among walking trails, would seriously impede the ability of ALL residents to enjoy the forest experience for the benefit of a few.
