Stop the dismantling of the Social Security system. The funds in that system were paid for out of the salaries of workers before their retirement. It is OUR MONEY - we own it and we plead with you to
honor the pledge that was made so that it can continue to be the lifeline for elderly and disabled Americans.
Why is this important?
I'm 74 years old, disabled, totally dependent on Social Security and a small pension. I will be unable to stay in my house if there is any cut to my Social Security - I won't be at all 'secure', and neither will the disabled veterans who put their lives on the line for this country., nor the poor (mostly children) who are literally starving.
