This is a fight to stop the abuse of eminent domain in Oklahoma. The taking of land, without any regard for the people involved , with KAMO Electric Cooperatives only agenda to keep the cost of operation low at other's expense. We believe that everyone involved can come to an agreement about the placing of transmission lines, with all parties agreeing on the need for progress and all involved remain good stewards to the land.
Why is this important?
We of the Sugar Mountain Valley Ranches believe KAMO Electric Cooperative ,Inc. plans to take our land while not being environmentally responsible for the route chosen. We feel money dictates here. Ever since the Supreme Court ruled on the Kelo v. City of New London; Governor Mary Fallin & Representitive Markwayne Mullin or Senator Kim David have done nothing to support the farms and ranchers in their state or district. We also hear of others fighting this abuse. (Eminent Domain = Legal Thief)
