Save the Washington Park Preschool, the only Public Preschool in Springfield, Illinois

The Springfield Community is shocked and saddened to hear the Washington Park Preschool is slated to close -- our only public preschool program. This vital program is woven into our city's rich history and it will be a disservice to our community to let this happen. The dedicated teachers and staff have mentored our children for almost half a century, in a historic building nestled in the beauty of Washington Park. This preschool provides a unique opportunity for the children to play and learn in a wholesome environment and builds in a respect and love for our community.
