Save the Wolves

This campaign has ended.

I want to live in a world where wolves, and the wilderness they need to survive, can thrive. America's ranchers and farmers can co-exist with the gray wolf, but our government has decided it easier to kill these majestic animals. As the new Secretary of the Interior, you have the power to stop this slaughter. Stand with me and end the killing.

Why is this important?

President Obama has selected Sally Jewell, the chief executive of REI, to replace outgoing Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar, and for the sake of the American gray wolves, it can't happen fast enough.

In the two years since Congress removed the wolves from the Endangered Species List, Salazar has already opened wolf hunting in four states, and there's talk in Washington that he's planning to remove protections for the wolves everywhere before he leaves office.

Jewell seems likely to get the appointment, so we want to send her an advance welcome in the form of a plea to stop killing the wolves.
