We oppose "right to work" laws in Michigan, which will weaken unions. We agree that unions are a positive voice for workers' rights.
Why is this important?
"Right to work" simply means that unions can't collect mandatory dues. If a worker is allowed to opt out of dues collection, that worker still reaps the benefits of the union in their company because other workers will be voluntarily paying the dues.
