12 days is not enough time to consider a property sale that will affect Creston's residents for many years to come. Consider investing in Creston's future and say NO to Seldin Company.
Why is this important?
As a resident of Ward 3, I feel 12 days is not enough time to consider the pros and cons of selling Lincoln School and such a decision should not be made in such haste.
Many residents of Creston's 3rd ward agree that 29 units (16 senior apartments and 13 town homes) is TOO MUCH to develop and only benefits a few people. And, fellow Crestonians agree.
Seldin's proposed project also takes away our neighborhood play space. Other wards have green space, why take ours? In conversations, Seldin's developers were very clear that forgoing the town home portion of the plan on the green space was not an option.
We want a library that will invest in future generations, and the library's new plans reflect that. The new library and cultural center will increase our property values while creating a place that inspires, heals and empowers our community. Don't you agree that Creston deserves that?
Don't feel rushed in your decision. If you do, vote no to Seldin Company.
