If the Keystone XL is to be approved, any oil company using tar sand oil in its product must disclose that in labeling. Let the consumer decide whether they want tar sand oil, or not.
Why is this important?
It seems that our representatives do not want to hear what we have to say about the Keystone XL pipeline. OK, maybe the oil companies will. If the pipeline is included in legislation, I would like the bill to also include a provision that any oil company using the tar sand oil must disclose as much in labeling. I would be willing to pay extra to be sure that tar sand oil is not going into my tank. Let's show them other people feel this way, too.
