Say "YES!" to a Special Use Permit for The Union on Eighth

We, the citizens of Georgetown, petition the City Council to approve the Special Use Permit for the Event Center designation for The Union on Eighth.

The Union on Eighth will serve the City by being a destination for local and regional visitors to come enjoy our beautiful Downtown, spend time and money here in our shops, restaurants, and hotels, and then travel back to their homes, telling others how wonderful our City is.

The Union on Eighth seeks to fill a current void for event space in the Downton area, to serve the community as a meeting place for birthdays, anniversaries, reunions, company parties, weddings, supper clubs, film screenings, farmer's markets, non-profit gatherings, art showings, workshops, children's summer camps, and more.

The Union on Eighth will restore an eyesore into a unique, beautiful space that our community can be proud of.

We urge you to say, "YES!"

Why is this important?

On March 26th, the Georgetown City Council will vote on whether to allow a local family to convert an old, aged transmission shop into a unique and beautiful event space that will draw visitors into our lovely Downtown, to enjoy our local businesses and sites.
