SC is growing & so should the State min. Wage to match the development rates which would drive more great folks here. The wage increase would also create a climate of true middle class on the rise rather then being one of the leaders in folks living under the poverty level. You want folks off Welfare ... We need folks off Welfare & this will do it!
Why is this important?
Poverty is at an unacceptable level in SC & Soup kitchens are under to many restrictions which means kids & elderly go to bed hungry every day. This shouldn't & won't be as bad if wages are adjusted to make a trip to the grocery store for everyone every week...not just the upper middle class!
