Schools should not be allowed to search, question, and demand written statements from a minor child regarding criminal charges without that child having an adult representing his/her LEGAL interests and without first giving Miranda rights. Take criminal charges out of the schools for non violent offenses. It's time to stop jailing minor children for doodling on desks and other non violent offenses!
Why is this important?
Stop sending children to the juvenile justice system for non violent offenses.
A child should not be arrested for doodling on a desk, for being disruptive in class, or any other non violent offense. Bring back detention, 1,000 sentences, etc. but stop throwing the children in jail!
