Science, Space & Technology Literacy Petition
Stop the progression of faulty climate theory by establishing a literacy test that verify and validate minimum education, knowledge and training standards of accepted global scientific and technological principles for members who serve on the United States Congressional Committee on Science, Space and Technology.
Why is this important?
As a Program Action Committee member for a local university for the past decade, I understand the value of education, and how it affects the lives of those who receive it, as well as others who benefit from increased knowledge of given subjects. With so many global environmental challenges as evidenced by recent, dramatic climate changes, along with those that come from new exploration, it is necessary that the scientists and technical experts on whom we rely for advice and solutions to problems as they arise are trained and informed at the highest level. If we truly are the greatest nation on Earth, we need to demonstrate our leadership to the world by establishing minimum standards of education and training in science, space and technology. I urge Congress to pass a law requiring literacy testing to ensure these experts will help our nation to craft policy that not only addresses these challenges, but helps to solve them for future generations.
