New Keystone pipeline corruption exposed—Tell Secretary Kerry to take action!Dear Secretary Kerry, Your agency is responsible for reviewing the potential environmental impacts of the Keystone XL pipeline. In March, you released a draft report that the EPA, the scientific community and environmentalists agree has failed to take into account the climate impacts of the pipeline. Now we know why—the contractor hired to write the report has a close working relationship with TransCanada, the company responsible for building the pipeline, as well as with over a dozen oil companies that stand to benefit if the pipeline is built. The contractor lied to the State Department when it declared that no conflict of interest existed for working on this project. What’s worse, no one at the State Department bothered to check whether this assertion was true. As a result of this blatant conflict of interest, I see serious reasons to question the legitimacy of the State Department’s draft report on KXL. I ask that you please halt the current Keystone XL review process, cancel the contract for the report, and demand an investigation into wrongdoing at the State Department before the review process continues any further. Thanks in advance for your attention to this important matter.4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Peter Stocker

Governor Cuomo: Rework the Terminus of the New TZ Bridge’s Shared Use PathThe Shared Use Path (SUP) makes the new TZ bridge a destination—one with the potential to draw hundreds of bicyclists, joggers, and pedestrians. The current plan is to end the path on a residential street in the Village of South Nyack—without space for an adequately-sized parking lot or restrooms.323 of 400 SignaturesCreated by TZ Gateway Alliance

PLANET NEEDS CANDLESTICK MORATORIUM TO STOP ILLICIT DESTRUCTION AND CREATE NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR ...Saving and extending the life of existing structures like San Francisco’s historic Candlestick Park stadium is one of the “Greenest” things America and California can do to reduce our dependence on fossil fuel. San Francisco has been the “Home of American Soccer” for over 100 years (1902), and the earthquake-tested 70,000-seat stadium (replacement value: One Billion dollars) is perfectly suited to take on a new and exciting life as a “West Coast Center” for the growing world-class sport. Saving Candlestick will also allow it to continue serving for many decades as a venue for concerts, events - even other field sports like rugby and lacrosse – thus building on the City’s history. Saving and rejuvenating Candlestick will moreover make California an environmental leader by demonstrating how America can generate new Green jobs and industry while leaving more fossil fuel in the ground by simply conserving the vast “embodied energy” of the existing structure. Unfortunately, thanks to outdated State and Federal legislation, citizens are being undemocratically denied proper review of City Hall’s latest hurried and deceptive move to sacrifice the valuable civic asset so politicians can give the “extra” land on which it sits to a developer of condos. Yet, very few citizens have been informed about vital plan changes suddenly being rushed by a City Hall that inaccurately claims that the unnecessary destruction of Candlestick will have no “significant” impact on climate change. We therefore respectfully and urgently request a State and Federal MORATORIUM to prevent City Hall from ignoring the fact that San Franciscans actually never voted to destroy their world-famous Candlestick Park and strongly resisted the idea for twenty years. US-CA Oversight will ensure that relevant State and Federal laws may be quickly and properly adjusted in order to help eliminate such needless destruction. It will also encourage new efforts for addressing climate change, creating a new definition of “Progress” that fosters new green industry and restores some Faith in democracy and Integrity in government. Please step in to save Candlestick Park before it’s too late. City Hall wants to blow it up before people notice what is really happening here.111 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Richard and Judy McRee, San Francisco

The new EPA administrator must ban the land-application of sewage sludge biosolidsMr. President, please appoint a new EPA administrator who will ban the land-application of sewage sludge biosolids. EPA must no longer ignore the warnings of the National Academy of Sciences, the Cornell Waste Management Institute, the Sierra Club, dozens of other health, farm, and environmental organizations, and its own scientists, who all emphasize the hazards of the current sludge policies.519 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Mary Graf
