I am demanding equal time for various opinions and ideas presented on Fox News and other so-called conservative radio and television stations. Restore the FCC's equal time provision and have fair and balanced reporting of news and public affairs programing.

The People of the United States of America deserve news and public interest news coverage to be fair and factual. We therefore insist on the reinstatement and enforcement of the Fairness Doctrine and ample and appropriate funding so that the regulating body has the resources needed to adequately research and enforce the Fairness Doctrine.

We New Yorkers have read about and witnessed the NYPD’s harsh and abusive tactics in response to the Occupy Wall Street peaceful demonstrations. But for many New Yorkers, these incidents don’t come as a surprise. Every day, the NYPD engages in biased and bullying practices that harm New York City’s citizens and communities. Young black and brown men stopped and frisked for no apparent reason ; mentally ill and homeless people roughed up and detained for sleeping on a park bench ; LGBT persons harassed as they enter a local community center or gather in a group on a neighborhood street corner ; sex workers arrested for simply carrying condoms, or forced to have sex in return for their release ; street vendors hassled, fined and arrested for violating arbitrarily enforced minor rules . One characteristic joins the people subjected to these severe practices: they are members of marginalized groups viewed as powerless to oppose police abuse effectively. But the political landscape is changing. The Police Reform Organizing Project is standing up with communities around New York to fight back against the current wasteful, ineffective, unjust, illegal, bullying, homophobic, and racially biased practices of the NYPD. Join us in urging policymakers to take action to stop harsh police tactics, create an independent agency to monitor police policies and punish abusive conduct, and implement problem solving measures that address economic and social inequities, strengthening communities instead of occupying them.

FEMA should provide renters with financial assistance to find a new place to live, purchase essentials, get to and from work, or to find a new job.

All New Jersey politicians that make 100,000 a year salary (or more) on New Jersey payroll will now and forever be responsible for their and their families healthcare costs.

I want our City, State and Federal Government to enact an investment tax credit to allow individuals, businesses and corporations to invest in a not-for-profit Fund known as the Natural Resilience Fund to help fund gaps in various climate resilience programs.

Help the working people of New Mexico get an even shot at the middle class dream - a home (no more couch surfing, the new homelessness), food security and a healthier life. The hard working people of New Mexico deserve better when Congress is piling on breaks for the rich and corporations. Unlike breaks for the rich, earned money goes directly into the local economy. Its time for a fair chance for workers in New Mexico. Raise the minimum wage.
