Help restore Voting Right Act

From the government shutdown to the debt ceiling, Tea Party Republicans have wreaked enough havoc on our country. Democrats must stand strong -- demand a vote on a clean continuing resolution to reopen the government -- and don't capitulate on Social Security, Obamacare, or other vital programs.

On Tuesday, September 3, 2013, the loyal Memphis, TN viewers of "Live With Kelly and Michael" expected to see this top-ranked show at it's regular airing time (usually aired locally on WATN-TV, ABC; 9:00 am to 10:00 am). Instead, a series of infomercials were broadcast in place of the beloved and entertaining show. When the viewers of this beloved program immediately began to submit questions on the station's Facebook page, the following response was provided to a majority of the viewers: "We are excited to be launching a new local program in early October. Until then temporary programming will run from 9-10 am." (...a canned response? You be the judge.) This action was enacted suddenly by WATN-TV (ABC) without advance notification to any of it's viewing public; many of the viewers are still in disbelief and shocked that this broadcast station would not renew the "Live With Kelly and Michael" program. The loyal viewers of this program were literally broadsided by the non-renewal and still wonder why this station would take this action. If you are a fan of the show (whether in Memphis, TN or not), support your fellow fans by signing this petition... Let the producers of "Live With Kelly and Michael" know that the viewers of their program still support it even though viewing access has been summarily removed from them without cause by WATN-TV (ABC) in Memphis, TN.
