  • Governor Rick Scott: We need real election reform now, including no less than 14 days of early vo...
It is outrageous that in 2012, voters were forced to wait in long lines for up to 7 hours to cast their vote. And according to a recent report, an estimated 201,000 Floridians were discouraged from voting on November 6th because of these long lines. That is completely unacceptable. We must ensure the right to vote for all Floridians is not suppressed by enacting these electoral reforms without delay: 1) Return the number of days of early voting to a mandatory 14 days 2) Keep the early voting locations open for no less than 12 hours a day 3) Provide Supervisors of Elections more flexibility in picking early voting locations 4) Limit the length of Constitutional Amendments placed on the ballot by the legislature to 75 words 5) Allow voters to update their voter registration address on Election Day if they move from one county to another We the undersigned believe the right to vote shall not be infringed.

  • Money out of poitics
We need to wake up and take out power back. It's time for the majority of the American public to VOTE. We do not support guns, we do not support polluters and we do not support taking women's rights to choose away. Yet many politician will NOT do what the majority want as they are beholding to the special interests and spend 80% of there day trying to raise money from them. Stop this craziness and get money out of politics. 1st deal with Climate change honestly and stop the spin then we have a chance of survival. 2nd Take all guns that fire more then 5 rounds at a time off the market, 3rd allow women the right to make there own health decisions. All this will fall into place when we get money out of politics. LGBT right are the new civil right issue and thank god its moving in the right direction. Lets let that be an example of what can be accomplished.

  • No Social Security Cuts!
Californians: You may have heard that yesterday President Obama made an offer to Republican John Boehner to cut Social Security benefits and leave in place some of the Bush tax cuts for the top 2%. The cuts in Social Security would amount to "a cut of more than 5 percent and more as the years go by." For many retirees this would mean critical cuts to benefits that cover medicine, food, and other daily necessities. The good news is that many senators, including Senate Leader Harry Reid, have promised to oppose Social Security cuts in any deficit reduction package. If they hear from enough of their constituents, we can still get the Senate to reject this proposal and protect Social Security. Sign this petition and make a difference! This will go to Barbara Boxer, Dianne Feinstein, and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, making it clear that the people demand No Social Security Cuts!

  • ban Automatic and Semi-automatic weapons in Colorado
Automatic and semi-automatic weapons were created for combat. They were created for the purpose of killing as many people as possible in the shortest ammount of time. There is no place for them outside of war. They are not needed for hunting. They are not needed for self defense in your home. They are being used in massacres across the country because they can be very easily acquired. Imagine a 5 year old sitting in a classroom trying to learn to read and instead being blown to pieces with an assault rifle. And then sign this petition. One week from today I will send it to Gov. Hickenlooper. We have to start somewhere. That's why I created a petition to The Colorado State House, The Colorado State Senate, and Governor John Hickenlooper, which says: "Ban automatic weapons in the sate of Colorado." Will you sign this petition? Click here: http://signon.org/sign/automatic-weapons-ban-1?source=c.em.cp&r_by=6507763 Thanks!

  • "KIDS NOT CUTS" - U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu
It’s time to stop giving tax breaks to the wealthiest two percent while sticking kids and working families with the tab. If Congress fails to do the right thing, massive across-the-board cuts could mean another $5 billion taken from our schools – hurting students and costing jobs. In real terms, those cuts mean kids packed into overcrowded classrooms, fewer services for special education students, and four-year-olds cheated out of early childhood education. Instead of more cuts to vital services Americans depend on, like schools, healthcare, and Social Security, we need a good deal—one that protects what’s important to me, my family, and my community. By signing this petition, I am urging you to make the right choices to support public education and working families and hold other members of Congress accountable. It’s time for the wealthiest and corporations to pay their fair share!

  • Modifying our Banking System
Amendment XXVIII The Constitution of the United States is hereby amended as follows: 1. The Federal Reserve Bank will no longer create the money of the United States and regulate it's value by any means whatsoever. The function of creating all money and other securities of the United States will revert back to congress as specified in Article I, Section 8[5] of the U.S. Constitution and the United States government will spend this money directly into the economy as needed, without borrowing funds at interest, for purchases necessary for the health and welfare of the nation as determined by congress. 2. The practices of Fractional Reserve Lending, the charging of compound interest for loans of any kind and the Federal Reserve Bonding process is hereby prohibited. (This is "bare bones" but I think you get the drift of it and I'd be happy to work with others to polish it as needed.)
