  • Democrats: Fight back and redistrict in your states!
Earlier this year, Donald Trump began a redistricting battle by urging Texas Republicans to introduce newly redistricted maps in order to secure more Republican wins in the 2026 midterms. This strategy has spread to states all across the country, with Republicans introducing new electoral maps in Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, and more on the way. Democrats have fought back with their own attempts to redistrict their states to counterbalance these blatant attempts to rig 2026 elections.  Democrats must continue to fight and stop Trump from silencing voters!

  • Demand that Representative Mike Bost (IL-12) Host an In-Person Town Hall
As your constituents, we are signing the petition to express our disappointment and frustration at the lack of in-person public forums available for us and the people in our community to meet with you. We are directly impacted by the chaos and dysfunction caused by President Donald Trump and his cuts to government services, levying of tariffs that raise prices, terrorizing our cities with ICE agents, protecting pedophiles in the Epstein files, disenfranchising voters through election interference schemes, murders of occupants of boats from Venezuela, threats against Iran, support for Putin over Ukraine, etc.  Meanwhile, the issues voters care about—the cost of groceries,  housing, and health care—are getting worse, not better.  We urge you, Mike Bost, to schedule in-person town halls so that you can hear directly from the people you were elected to represent, and be accountable for the decisions you are enabling or supporting.  There is still time for you to do right by your constituents and meet with us in good faith to hear our concerns.   Sincerely, Illinois Congressional District 12 Residents

  • Demand that Rep. Mike Bost (IL-12) act to impeach Trump and defund ICE!
Rep. Mike Bost, you must use the power you hold as a member of Congress to file articles of impeachment and force votes on impeachment and defunding ICE now, before the midterms.  • You must make public pro-impeachment and pro- defunding ICE statements to demonstrate your willingness to hold this administration accountable.  • You don’t have to wait for someone else to take the lead - you can file your own impeachment resolution against President Donald Trump and his enablers for high crimes and misdemeanors. • You can draft legislation now to defund ICE. • You can vote to take up the question of impeachment when articles are brought to the floor under Rule IX. • You must publicly remind colleagues - Democrat and Republican - that impeachment is the constitutional remedy for a tyrant and that they share a responsibility to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.  • You must call for the complete abolishment of ICE, the withdrawal of all funding for ICE, and the prosecution of ICE agents to the full extent of the law for all crimes committed against civilians regardless of immigration status. President Trump is abusing the power of the office of the president. He has engaged in tyranny, treason, and obstruction of justice.  Tyranny • Donald Trump and his enablers are tyrants, repeatedly violating the constitutional rights of the American people, suppressing their right to free speech, freedom of assembly, privacy, due process, and has attempted to remove their constitutionally guaranteed right to birthright citizenship.  He has further acted as a tyrant towards the government, usurping from Congress congressionally mandated powers of war and of the purse. And, he has engaged in unchecked aggression on the global stage, unilaterally striking sovereign nations and threatening allies with military force.  Treason • Trump and Defense Secretary Peter Hegseth openly described a planned “war from within” aimed at opposition-led U.S. cities, pressuring military leaders to comply and framing domestic political opponents as targets. • The administration then backed up this rhetoric with actions, including deploying federalized National Guard and paramilitary forces, suppressing protest and dissent, and encouraging intimidation, amounting to a revolutionary program imposed by force rather than lawful political change. • These deployments across state lines without consent, alongside defiance of courts and threats toward Congress, constitute an unlawful assault on state sovereignty and evidence of “levying war” against the United States. Obstruction of Justice • Donald Trump and Attorney General Pamela Bondi have obstructed justice by using federal agencies to delay and manipulate the release of Jeffrey Epstein-related files and shape public perception in order to conceal Trump’s ties to Epstein and avoid political and reputational fallout. • For our country, we ask you to support the impeachment of Donald Trump and members of his Cabinet.

  • Tell Congress and the President to Fund and Support Our National Parks - Now and Forever!
Dear Congress Member, Senator, and Decision Maker*: We, citizens of the United States of America, support our nation’s most precious and popular resource, its National Parks. There is nothing more American than the rugged open spaces, wild rivers, and majestic mountains of the American country, which is cared fordiligently by the National Park Service (NPS).  Last year, the NPS reported the highest visitation in its history, at 331.9 million visits. This is nearly equal to every citizen in the nation visiting our parks once in 2024.  Because our National Parks are incredibly popular, they are often overcrowded and in need of care, which is why funding and staffing for the historic agency are both vital. The National Park Service supports 415,400 American jobs, when factoring in local consumer spending and creates $55.6 billion in economic output. Not only that, but in the past decade visitation has increased by 10 percent while staffing has decreased by 3 percent. That doesn't add up! We urge you to continue to support what makes America, America – its beautiful mountains, its oceans and rivers, its wildlife and waterfalls, and the incredible rangers and civil servants who are tasked with protecting and restoring our great nation.  Sincerely, *Please note the letter will go to your Congressperson, Senator and the President.

  • Support Yellow Arahama (黃色手帕大作戰)
Open Letter to Sendai city government in Japan, Dear Sendai city government We are professionals and scholars from the Pacific Rim community, including Taiwan, US, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Canada, etc. We believe community-based design and planning is the best and only way to better built environment for and of the people. Recently, we have been deeply concerned about the ongoing post-earthquake reconstruction in Japan, especially the case of Arahama in Sendai, Miyagi prefecture. We’ve learned that a wide range of communities were forced to relocate collectively due to their homeland being designated as disaster-zone neighborhood, an area of 700ha. Though we can understand that the relocation is arranged with concern for safety and efficiency, we strongly oppose this kind of forced-relocation regardless of local community’s will and complex needs. Plenty of previous reconstruction cases over the world have made it clear that what people need to survive and thrive as communities is much more than houses. Place matters in sustaining community network and human beings’ attachment with locality and spaces. A convenient removal of neighborhoods from bay area to high lands without the consent of the residents could become violence and cause serious aftermaths such as loss of jobs and industry, stress, suicides, disruptions of social relations, etc., if not paying attention to histories and geographies of community. Moreover, tremendous social capital can be lost and may be irreversible in the careless relocation process. We’ve learned that communities in Arahama are acting out to express their opposition to the government-led relocation. They are calling for a more caring plan that integrate community economy and rehousing with respect to Arahama community’s long-existing cultural practices and affections for ocean. We are deeply touched by their call and the "yellow handkerchief, " an evocative symbol used by Arahama community to flag an urgent signal to the world. In writing this letter, we want to express our support to the community. Please listen carefully to the people who are desperately longing for conversation and a community-based reconstruction to replace current top-down relocation. We respect all of your continuous efforts in reconstruction. However, it is more important to do things right rather than do things fast. We believe that by working with community Japan can present to the world again its tenacity and dignity. Sincerely, Pacific Rim Community Design Network1(環太平洋社區設計網絡) --- About Pacific Rim Community Design Network In countries and regions across the Pacific Rim, participatory community design has become an increasingly important component of the urban planning and design process. From advocacy planning and citizen participation developed in the United States, models of participatory community design now can also be found in Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, specifically in forms of the Machizukuri Movement in Japan, Community Building Movement in Taiwan, and an emerging challenge to the top-down urban planning and redevelopment process in Hong Kong. The Pacific Rim Community Design Network was launched following a working conference at University of California, Berkeley in 1998. Titled "Coastal Echoes: Democratic Design in the Pacific Rim," the conference brought together leading community design scholars and practitioners from Japan, Taiwan and United States. The purpose of the conference was to provide the practitioners and scholars working in the field of participatory design and planning across the Pacific Rim region with an opportunity to share and compare each other's experiences and advance their practice and research. Through conferences and joint projects, the network has provided a vehicle for collaboration and mutual support, as well as a forum for comparative understanding of community design in the fast changing political and social context of the Pacific Rim. webpage: http://faculty.washington.edu/jhou/pacrim.htm

  • Tell the Senate to CONFIRM the Democratic NLRB Chair!
The Democratic chair of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), Lauren McFerran, has been awaiting a floor vote since a Senate committee signed off on her nomination in August.    If the full Senate—which is controlled by a razor-thin Democratic majority right now—reconfirms McFerran, then Democratic board members would retain the majority into 2026. Workers will need even more support, as Trump and his right-wing extremist picks will work to corrupt and degrade existing labor law. The NLRB largely sets labor law rules through decisions in individual cases, which are prosecuted by the agency’s presidentially appointed general counsel. One could think of the NLRB as a mini-SCOTUS of sorts. The real Supreme Court is filled with right-wing extremists who support Trump and the MAGA agenda, and we’ve seen the result of Trump’s appointments in the past few years—from the overturning of Roe to the decision that gave Trump total immunity in Trump v. United States. The NLRB handles all types of cases, big and small, establishing labor law for workers across the country, and we need to maintain a Democratic majority for the NLRB. Confirm Lauren McFerran as the NLRB chair!

  • Stephen Colbert For US Senate
Mr. Colbert: We the undersigned urge you to run for United States Senate in 2026 against Lindsey Graham of South Carolina. Besides helping to flip the Senate to Democratic control it would be a lot of fun for you to be able to attack Mr. Trump from the floor of the US Senate, from committee meetings, and from the floor of the House during the State of the Union Address. Additionally, your constant presence in Washington would give Mr. Trump a good old fashioned conniption fit.
