Wendell Allen was a 20-year-old man who was shot in the chest by New Orleans Police Officer Joshua Colclough. Wendell Allen was unarmed. New Orleans Police department is being slow to release details of the shooting, and no arrests have been made at this time. Please, we need your help to protect citizens from gun violence and inept law enforcement. The New Orleans Attorney General must step in and provide Justice for Wendell Allen, his family and all the people in New Orleans and surrounding areas. People should not be in fear while in their house or driving, wondering if the police will stop them or come in their house, or if they will be hurt or killed.

By focusing on Trump's tweets, the news media are giving them importance and giving Trump the attention that feeds his narcissism. Spending time discussing the tweets and responding to them normalizes Trump's aberrant behavior. Tell the mainstream news media to ignore Trump's tweets.

The wonderful new park slated for 17th Street between Folsom and Shotwell has one fatal flaw: it's separated from the community by a tall, 8 foot, fence. Please make the fence a lower, similar to the new 4' fence at Mission Playground on Valencia.

We, the undersigned, petition our elected officials to call on the New York City Council to guarantee affordable housing in the Crown Heights West rezoning. We urge the New York City Council to incorporate mandatory inclusionary zoning, which would guarantee the creation of affordable housing in new developments within a designated area, and establish an anti-harassment area in western Crown Heights, which would increase penalties for tenant harassment in the rezoned area.

Congress failed to require the FAA to place the quality of life of all Americans ahead of the profits of the airlines when designing new flight paths and procedures. This petition seeks to correct that error by requiring the FAA to make Public Health and Safety the first priority, requiring the most expeditious application of new technologies at airports, in airplane manufacturing, including new quiet engines, quiet airframes, electric engines, and routing planes higher and farther away from residential areas.
