Baby boomers are retiring at an alarming rate! To boost their retirement cost, medicaid, healthcare and other services we provide to retirees, I suggest we consider the economical benefit of having working immigrants in our midst.

It is long overdue to pass a new law to apportion the house seats according to the Constitution: 1. Article I, § 2 Clause 3: “Representatives … shall be apportioned among the several states … according to their respective Numbers,” and 2. The Fourteenth Amendment § 2 reaffirmed the Equal Representation clause while abolishing the Three-fifth clause.

On January 4, 2019, Dave Potter was appointed to the Water Board by a 3-2 margin under very suspect circumstances. We demand a revote with all six mayors present and 4 votes majority required.

The Santa Rosa School Board has made an abrupt decision to transfer Debbie Rogan (Roach) out of Hidden Valley Main campus to another school. After the tragedy of the current fires our kids, school and community have been through enough. To remove Debbie Rogan from our school community and children at this time is insensitive and disheartening. Please help stop the proposed transfer of Debbie Rogan, Child Care Lead at Hidden Valley Main Campus.

Senator Bart Hester is trying to prevent Arkansas counties, municipalities, etc. from prohibiting discrimination. Stop the bill that will legally and unfairly exclude Arkansans from opportunity and well-being.

The state of California should adapt a statewide law requiring the approval of the majority of voters in any county in an election for any changes to Open Space, Agricultural and Rural Areas land use policies and designations in unincorporated areas governed by that county's current General Plan.

FL Legislators: I urge you to deny the passing of the Parent Empowerment in Education bill (HB 867 or SB 862) so that the public education system remains a corporation-free, public institution in the hands and power of the parents, educators, community groups, and taxpayers that support and nurture it.

Dear Azusa City Council: We cordially sign this petition to ask the Azusa City Council to create an Azusa Downtown plan with the following goals and then look for private investors to finance it in phases. 1. We want the Azusa Downtown to be a fun place to go to where people from all over the valley come to have fun that they cannot easily find in the cities around us. When people think of the city of Azusa, we want their first thoughts to be that it is a beautiful city and a fun place to go. 2. We don’t want our downtown to look like everyone else’s downtown. 3. We want the architecture to be beautiful, not ordinary. When you look at many of the old cities in Europe, they were beautiful when they were first built, they are beautiful today, and they will be beautiful in the future. Whatever the style it is (Craftsman, Spanish Mediterranean, Tuscan, etc.), we want the downtown to be just as beautiful. If a plan is not beautiful, don’t build it. We don’t want an ugly suburbia look. We want a creative, vibrant and beautiful city. 4. We would like to see inexpensive live entertainment with many small venues that can offer small live theater, singing, comedians, etc. Giving people many live entertainment options will make the downtown a go to place to have fun. One thought to consider would be to put the entertainment in basements or on upper floors to help keep the costs down. Restaurants could be built on the main level, and artist loft apartments and/or professional offices could be built above everything else. The restaurants would work together with these venues to market together. We think that the Azusa Downtown will be a great place for this, especially when the Gold Line Extension has been completed. It is something that other cities in the area don’t really specialize in and we feel that we can provide that niche. 5. We would like to have at least one restaurant that offers dancing. And at least one restaurant that offers outdoor seating. Thank you for considering our request.

Ignore petitions that request that you grant the citizens the legal right to start state wide referendums.

As a state with a significant number incarcerated in state prisons and a significant percentage of these in Private for-profit facilities, Arizona should issue official prison population projections (with each expansion request) that are coordinated with the local Criminal Justice Coordinating Committee (if one still exists) or an appropriately selected group representing the interests of each CJS group (Police, Courts, Juvenile Departments, Parole and Probation Agencies) and nationally recognized experts in implementing recognized methodology for population projections.
