We, the residents of the Three Village Central School District, are asking the Three Village Board of Education to stop the proposed cuts to our full-day kindergarten program and keep the current program intact for the 2012-2013 school year. This program will prepare our students to meet the increasing academic challenges ahead of them and maintain home values for all Three Village residents.

President Obama, please focus your campaign on this simple theme: Middle class consumers are the real job creators. This one theme simultaneously advances your campaign and undermines your opponent in the most effective way possible.

We need your help to get the ELDER JUSTICE ACT 2010 funded and in operation. Only 2% of federal abuse prevention dollars goes to elder abuse education, prevention, and prosecution (91% goes to fight child abuse and 7% goes to fight domestic violence). The Federal Government only spends $11.9 million a year on fighting elder abuse. Only a small percentage of senior fraud is ever reported and a recent MetLife study shows seniors losing $2.9 billion a year because of senior financial exploitation. The ELDER JUSTICE ACT 2010 was passed with a four-year budget of $747 million to focus, respond, and prevent elder abuse. The ELDER JUSTICE ACT 2010 has not been funded and is not in operation to help solve elder abuse. With the aging of America and the 78 million Baby Boomers retiring this terrible problem of elder abuse will only get worse.

Humiliation, fear, social stigma is the noon-time meal of choice...if you're a kid without enough money in RI. Tell (Y)OUR decision makers we're watching. Tell them they need to step up to the table and stop allowing OUR children to be neglected and abused by local administrators. Please.

We, the undersigned citizens of the United States of America demand that sections 1021 and 1022 of the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act be rewritten, in clear, plain language, to PROTECT American citizens, residing both domestically or abroad, from indefinite detention without trial; even if accused of terrorism. If American citizens are guilty of a crime, let them be charged and tried by a jury of their peers in accordance with the fifth and sixth amendments of the Constitution of the United States. It is unacceptable that the United States Government would detain a single American citizen, for any reason, and not uphold the Constitution of the United States while doing so. This is garden variety tyranny, and it will not be tolerated by the citizens of the United States of America.

These body scanners are likely to be highly intrusive showing the outline of people’s private parts and the alternative option is to have a pat-down of these private parts by a TSA agent. It is an unreasonable restriction and a violation to the Fourth Amendment -a violation to basic human rights.

Abortion is essential and time-sensitive health care. In a country where most communities do not have access to quality health care overall--and especially not to abortion care--the ability to work with a provider from the comfort of your own home is essential. This is even more true now, during a pandemic, when it is so much harder and less safe to travel to see a doctor in person. Pregnant people have to make complex decisions about their health and future, even in the best of times, often having to navigate significant barriers for care or travel great distances. But these decisions can be more fraught during a crisis or public health emergency, when access can be even more difficult, and time is especially of the essence. It should be the goal of policy in these moments of crisis to expand access to health care, not arbitrarily restrict it. The FDA and state lawmakers must work to lift restrictions on telemedicine abortion care during this pandemic--and beyond it, too!
