Stop the FCC from making small ISPs comply with Title II public utility rules. This is not Net Neutrality. It is a power grab to give the big phone/cable providers a strong monopoly and saddle all American Internet customers with a 16.8% tax.

Change the rules so that they promote recovery of Mexican wolves rather than extinction. Modify Alternative 3: Eliminate boundaries to the wolves’ movement. Designate Mexican wolves as essential. Eliminate expanded provisions for killing, trapping, and removals of these critically endangered wolves.

Legalize Marijuana.

In view of complete Republican irresponsibility regarding the sequester, it is obvious that a Grand Bargain with the Republicans is impossible; further, it is irresponsible to attempt such a Grand Bargain through cuts in vital entitlements such as Medicare and Social Security. Mr. President, stand your ground, refuse any cuts in Medicare and Social Security, and be as firm with the Republicans as they have shown themselves to be irresponsible.

Dear Maryland Delegates I am one of your constituents and I am very concerned about Maryland Electric Utilities plan to replace all our analog electricity meters with ‘smart meters’. We are told that these meters are supposed to help us manage our electricity usage and save both money and energy. While I am certainly in favor of both of those goals and have been practicing that approach regarding my overall energy consumption in my home, studies have proven that these meters will not save either energy or money. but they will fill our homes with dangerous radiation and put all of our homes in jeopardy of catching on fire. In addition, they will constitute a serious invasion of our privacy. Some of the most intimate details of our lives will be on display for anyone working for my utility, anyone working for the contractor who prepares our utility bills and anyone hacking into the system.
