Indiana's lawmakers are once more inserting themselves into Hoosiers' private medical decisions by trying to pass HB 1337, an anti-abortion bill that shames, coerces, and demeans pregnant people at a time when they most need support and accurate medical information.

Public Service Company, PNM, a privately held electric monopoly, has made hundreds of millions of dollars off their aging polluting San Juan coal plant and now wants $350 more million to close the plant “early.” Even though PNM will literally produce no electricity from the plant, it claims it is still entitled to the profit it hoped to get from ratepayers. Senate Bill 47, PNM's "Energy Redevelopment Bonding Act” will force ratepayers to pay the $350 million to Wall St. bondholders (who have paid PNM up front) from a monthly increase on everyone's electric bill. It’s time to hold PNM accountable, to protect ratepayers from PNM’s greed, and deny PNM a bailout resulting from their utility management malpractice!

We the undersigned residents of Wildhorse HOA respectively ask the County Commission to delay for at least one year considering increases to our utility rates for water, sewer, and trash and the proposed tax for local roads. We have several alternatives we are considering recommending but we need time to fully consider, to meet and discuss alternatives, and to have our HOA recommend a solution with HOA support.

We are sitting back and allowing our future, our youth, to go to prison when they have not had a chance to live a life or make real decisions that lead to their future and ours. It's our job to guide them, and it's the APD's job to inform us of where our children are and what they are up to when we are not looking; not to give them felony charges that affect the rest of their lives and ours, but to make a difference in their lives by telling the parents, watching their actions and coming up with healing solutions; not to give them gaping scars that mar their minds for the rest of their lives by placing them in a prison system with criminals to be their guides.

We call upon Joe Biden – on Day 1 – to fulfill his campaign promise that "not another foot" of Trump's disastrous wall would be built during his administration. Unfortunately, this commitment has not yet appeared in any of Biden's planned executive orders, causing great concern for border city residents, Native American communities, and immigrant rights groups impacted by the wall. We can't let Trump's wall become Biden's first broken promise. Tell President-elect Joseph Biden to honor his word and commit to immediately stopping construction of Trump's cruel and destructive wall.

Our women and thousands of men are passing away from breast cancer at a very early age, which could have possibly been prevented. We can stand as one and say lower the age for breast cancer screening so I can have a chance at watching my kids graduate.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, many YMCA child-care employees have lost all or most work hours and are not being paid. The YMCA and other nonprofits are asking congress for 60 billion dollars, we urge that some of the money goes towards Hazard Pay and Paid Leave for employees regardless. The cost of living continues to be a barrier during this pandemic and we are demanding CEO’s Tyler Wright and Kevin Washington provide their staff with basic needs through this time.
