We oppose cutting social security benefits. For many retirees this would mean critical cuts to benefits that cover medicine, food, and other daily necessities.

Have RECYCLING barrels, bins. etc. placed next to trash cans, anywhere and everywhere POSSIBLE! I personally do NOT like seeing items that could be RECYCLED in trash containiers; I guess it is BETTER than seeing them along side highways and street side, but would much RATHER see it in a RECYCLE bin. I for one will take some items OUT of trash cans and or pick items thrown on streets, parking lots etc. and take them home to RECYCLE. I would LOVE to see BUSINESSES and APARTMENT COMPLEXES have RECYCLE bins set up at their locations, inside and outside. MORE apartment renters would RECYCLE if they didn't have to drive it somewhere to recycle. Can you PLEASE help w/this issue?

The practice of placing holds on bills in the U.S. Senate needs to be reformed by: 1) ending the use of private, secret or anonymous holds 2) limiting the length of time a hold can be in effect to no more than five successive days 3) limiting the number of holds that can be placed on a bill or other measure to one and requiring that if two or more Senators wish to place a hold, they shall request that hold together and at the same time

To ensure employee rights, all company's (public or private) are held to the same standard, and employee wages are compensated for the increase in prices of the economy.

We the people of Tennessee call on you, Senator, to reject Grover Norquist's anti-tax pledge, which has created gridlock in Congress and prevents passing any responsible fiscal policy to grow the economy.

Mr. Norquist, we, the signers of this petition, respectfully request that you hereby rescind your No New Taxes pledge, disband "Americans for Tax Reform", and find gainful employment in other areas besides tax lobbying.

Any person seeking a political office, utilizing mass media advertising in any form, must personally approve the ad for truthfulness. Any person that allows a non truthful ad to run, (including Super-Packs etc.) will be subject to a fine and jail. There is no more serious crime then lying to the American People.

Give a portion of ticketed speeders back to the town of the ticketing police department, as an incentive for better speeding enforcement in densely populated areas, to at least cover the costs of contested tickets.

We can benefit from more Americans learning in depth about other countries and cultures. An expanded Peace Corps can make this happen.
