Destinee's PledgeDestinee’s Pledge against gun violence & bullying was observed in schools October 24, 2016, a day to remember Destinee Ford whom was shot & killed walking home from school. The Pledge encourages young people to take a proactive stance in reducing gun violence & bullying. The Pledge is a national observance giving students from State to State the chance to sign a voluntary promise that they will: • I pledge to never carry a gun to school. • I pledge to never resolve a dispute with a gun or any other weapon. • • I pledge to use their influence with their friends to keep them from resolving disputes with guns or any other weapon. • • I pledge to refuse to bully others and report bullying to an adult. • I pledge to treat others with fairness and respect. • I pledge to use my power to act respectfully and help keep my school safe for all • I accept this pledge to change my Destiny and to Stop the Violence.20 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Stacy Vance

Eliminate Federal Income Taxes for low income seniorsDuring your 2008 campaign you said that you would eliminate seniors making less than $45,000 a year from filing federal income taxes. This never happened. I will be 76 next month and make less than $45,000 and it is very difficult to survive now days with prices continually going up while my meager Federal Government Retirement income cannot keep up the pace. I retired after 30 years of service in 1988, contracting for the US Navy, when I could afford to live on my retirement income which is no longer the case. I shudder everytime I must pay my Federal and State taxes that I cannot afford. PLEASE give us seniors living on a limited income a break for a change. I was a Republican until you came along and have been a Democrat ever since as I trust you with all my heart to do the right thing.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by CAROL TIFFIN

Replace California Beverage Container Recycling and Litter Reduction Act (AB 2020)We ask for your support in revising the currently unfair and impractical California Beverage Container Recycling and Litter Reduction Act (AB 2020). Make recycling fair for consumers and place the burden back on the bottling industry and sellers. All locations selling containers requiring CA Redemption Value deposits will accept container returns for redemption value refunds during their full hours. End the separate recycling centers that act as a barrier to redemption.25 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Katherine Lewis

DO SOMETHING about coronavirus ravaging our communitiesToday, Tuesday the 16th of June, Arizona has experienced the highest spike in COVID-19 cases since the outbreak, approximately 2400 in a single 24 hour period. This could have been prevented and lives would have been saved. This is a direct result of poor leadership concerning reopening businesses. We need to change that. Implement a travel ban between counties and close AZ borders. Allow only essential travel. Implement a curfew that restricts crowds forming at busy bars and restaurants. Create monetary incentives for businesses to revert to a take-out only menu. Enforce and make it mandatory for anyone working to wear a face mask at all times, sanitize surfaces after each use/each customer. Enforce a reduced capacity among bars and restaurants, 25% of their normal capacity. Enforce face masks among citizens patronizing any business. Close national parks. Consider shutting down businesses again.1,462 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Chloe Ramsey

SB101 to H25 OfframpCommuters desperately need improved safety for the exit to CA Hwy 25 from SB CA Hwy 101. During the evening commute hours traffic backs up onto SB101. There are only two lanes and tight shoulders here which leave little room for error. Redesigning this interchange to eliminate congestion is an appropriate long term solution, however something needs to be done in the interim. Some ideas might include an intelligent traffic signal, a detour for Hwy 25 to SB101, an extension of the exit lane and shoulder to Castro Valley Road for SB101 to Hwy 25 traffic. A simple "Emergency Stopping Only" sign at the top of the ramp. We are resolved to see a safe solution created which mitigates the dangers posed by traffic backing up at this offramp location.157 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Cispa Thrasher
