  • Downtown Batavia Illinois 2012
In order to help the Batavia community face the challenge of today with the vision and foresight for tomorrow, we are calling on the City Council to oppose Plan 14 as proposed by Batavia Enterprises for the demolition of (address) and building of a freestanding Walgreen, set back 77 ft from the street. The community has invested their time and resources and defined in the Batavia Comprehensive Plan their vision for downtown. We rely on our representatives to ensure the proposed Walgreen’s plan, and all future plans, meet the defined criteria, without unrealistic exception.

  • Congressional Reform Act of 2012
A Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay once out of office. Congress (present & future) participates in Social Security. ( All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. This fund may not be used for any other purpose, or to fund any other endeavor since it's a sacred contract with America.) Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do. They too may collected Social Security and disability as any member of the system. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3% and be tied to the increase times for the Social Security Retirement System. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people. Conversely, they may provide their health care system for all the American people. Congress must equally abide by all laws they enact for the American people. They may never vote for themselves what is not voted into law for all Americans. All such elements currently in place are immediately null and void. All contracts, signed and verbal, with past and present Congressmen are null and void effective 1/1/13. Any contract signed impeding a Congressional member from performing their proper and right functions for all the American peoples on the floor where debate and deliberation are to occur, will be considered virtually a treasonous act as said signer, in holding out for unelected issues, voids their voting agreement with the American peoples they have sworn to support. As a Congressman, you are an employee of the citizens of the United States and may have no allegiance elsewhere.
