A federal grand jury has just indicted Trump for his attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 election. This is an essential step toward holding him accountable for inciting a deadly, white supremacist-led insurrection on January 6, 2021 and attempting to overthrow the government to remain in power, but this is not over yet. The Constitution’s 14th Amendment provides for the disqualification from office of any person who has “engaged in insurrection or rebellion against” the United States. That includes Donald Trump. As a result, he does not meet the qualifications to become president again. Election officials in every state must respect the Constitution and reject Trump from their ballots. And Congress can help clarify that by passing legislation to bar Trump from office under the Fourteenth amendment.

I Support the Amory Street Redevelopment Amory Street Partners includes Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation (JPNDC), The Community Builders (TCB), and Urban Edge, non-profit organizations with more than a 40-year track record in affordable housing and community development. Amory Street Partners have been designated by the Boston Housing Authority to improve the existing 200 public housing units in the building at 125 Amory Street, to ensure long term affordability without displacement. As part of this designation, Amory Street Partners will introduce new development, parking, roadways, and open space on the site, including approximately 353 new units of mixed income rental housing. Amory Street Partners currently is seeking Boston Planning and Development Agency (BPDA) approval for this new development. All three partner organizations are outstanding community assets that create and preserve affordable housing in Jamaica Plain and adjacent neighborhoods, and I encourage BPDA and other City agencies to approve the project.

Urge the State Department to express concern about the imprisonment of astrophysicist Imad Barghouthi.

Judge John Primomo told newly naturalized citizens in San Antonio, TX, that if they didn't like Donald Trump's positions as president, they should leave the U.S. Our country is founded upon the right to free speech, to dissent, as well as the use of civil disobedience and non-violent protest. When Mitch McConnell expressed dislike of President Obama, he was not asked to leave the country. Primomo's partisan instructions to new citizens went against all our country stands for. He should be removed from the bench.

The Superintendent of Boston Public Schools, Dr. Tommy Chang, has recommended to the Boston School Committee to close the Mattahunt Elementary School and reopen it as an early childcare center. We, the undersigned parents and stakeholders of the Mattahunt Elementary School community, demand that the Boston Public Schools invest in improving the school to continue serving current and future elementary school students, and therefore strongly oppose the Superintendent’s plan to close the Mattahunt.

Rep. Xochitl Torres Small needs to come out in support of an impeachment inquiry. This is long overdue. Trump's corruption, attempts to subvert the law, and heinous human rights violations cannot continue. Our local representatives need to hold him to account.

I want you to let the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources highlight how climate change will impact our natural heritage and wildlife on their website—and then get to work solving the problem.
