The unspoken policy of former Presidents keeping silent about the conduct of a sitting President is not appropriate when it comes to President #45. Presidents Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama - it’s time for you to come together to specifically and publicly condemn Donald Trump’s words and actions, which contribute directly to violence in America.

Given that 1) waterboarding is torture and torture is a war crime without a statute of limitations and 2) a basic tenet of American democracy is that all persons are equal before the law, therefore we the undersigned request the Attorney General to begin criminal proceedings for those who justified, approved or did torture during the George W. Bush Administration.

Whereas "stand your ground" was intended to provide legal means for Pennsylvanians to defend themselves with the use of deadly force outside of the home when threatened by serious harm, we contend that "stand your ground" invites more people who do not have gun safety training and may harbor vigilante-type notions to look for confrontations that can turn dangerous and deadly. Self-defense laws already exist.

Accountability is a must in public safety. It is imperative that a body worn camera program is implemented within all law enforcement agencies in Putnam County, to include the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, Palatka Police Department, Interlachen Police Department and the Crescent City Police Department. It is also requested that the appropriate city/county commission assist with the cost in the 2020 budgets. Body cameras are a very vital part in the storytelling aspect of police interactions with the citizens they are sworn to protect and serve. In a field experiment conducted by the Rialto, Calif. Police Department, it was found that when police were equipped with cameras during the test period, use of force incidents and citizen complaints against officers were reduced by 50 and 90 percent respectively. Proper guidelines for body camera use are already in force for the state of Florida. (HB 93) (2016) requires law enforcement agencies that permit their officers to wear body cameras to establish policies for their proper use, maintenance, and storage of their data.

Make it where any police brutality settlements come from the police retirement accounts and pension plans.

We the undersigned concerned citizens, do hereby request that Eugene City Council purchase the 26 Acre Beverly property at the end of West Amazon Drive at Martin Way. This property features three Amazon creek headwaters streams as well as beautiful, relatively unspoiled and undeveloped forest land, wetland and riparian areas. We are concerned about the imminent clear cutting of the forest for roads and houses and the subsequent erosion which will follow. This valuable natural resource area is important for the water quality of the Amazon Creek, habitat for plants and animals as well as for the potential open space area which future generations of Eugenians can enjoy.

Please repeal the "stand your ground" type legislation in WV. As is evidenced by the recent George Zimmerman criminal case in Florida resulting in the acquittal of a person killing an individual who did not have the benefit of testimony unlike Adolph Eichman who was responsible for the death of 6 million Jews. This promotes and condones vigilante justice which contravenes the US Constitution.

Send a clear signal to those of our citizens who have been the target of ethnic cleansing, and to the rest of the world where such genocide continues to take place, that we do not countenance racists and murderers. Remove Andrew Jackson from the $20 bill and replace him with a person of integrity and peace.
