Please do not cut my social security. It is not an "Entitlement." I've been paying into it my entire, adult, work life. The government is now referring to our Social Security checks as a "Federal Benefit Payment" or entitlement. This isn't a benefit--its earned income! I've paid into it and "trusted" my government to protect me. Instead, it feels like we've been victim of a Ponzi scheme where OUR money has been misappropriated. Now that the monies have been misused by the one's we've trusted we are all being told that the money won't support us for very much longer. Please don't destroy the trust we have in our legislators. Protect what we've earned. Protect us!

Stop the proposed cuts in Social Security and Medicare. Stop any and all proposed cut to Education.

Do Not Cut Our Social Security Benefits

Social Security should not be cut as it will hurt millions of retired people who worked hard all their lives to be able to retire with dignity. As it is, the benefits do not keep up with inflation and things cost more every week.

You may have heard that yesterday President Obama made an offer to Republican John Boehner to cut Social Security benefits and leave in place some of the Bush tax cuts for the top 2%. The cuts in Social Security are opposed by an overwhelming majority of SignOn.org members and would amount to "a cut of more than 5 percent and more as the years go by." For many retirees this would mean critical cuts to benefits that cover medicine, food, and other daily necessities.1,2 The good news is that many senators, including Senate Leader Harry Reid, have promised to oppose Social Security cuts in any deficit reduction package. If they hear from enough of their constituents, we can still get the Senate to reject this proposal and protect Social Security.

We would like to start our own government of direct descendants who will work with local and federal governments to ensure real growth. With non corrupt native governments who claim to be about their people and work with all direct descendants the right direction to form equal representation for all natives. Not this divide and conquer. And oblivious and deliberate discrimination. We just want our right as direct descendants. Thank you to all if any who will respond to our plea.
