Privately funded Think Tanks only serve as a mouthpiece for private donors with very politically slanted agenda and only serve to manipulate the media and public to serve that agenda. Please put an end to the influence of these agenda mills by not feeding their causes and refuse to use their research or speakers in your stories and refuse to have them guest on your shows, and only use research and speakers from publicly funded accredited Universities or other reputable non biased, publicly funded sources .

We will not make official comments on the validity of allegations against Spokane's NAACP President. However, until the investigation is complete and her issues are resolved we recommend a leave of absence. We do not feel that she is in a position to properly reflect the values of our communities. The questions surrounding her integrity may discredit the work that has been previously done to better the movement of social justice and equality.

Town of Tonawanda needs a new hockey rink. The Town of Tonawanda also needs Brighton Pool renovated. Some elected officials are choosing to spend $400,000 of taxpayers money to design a "state of the art" ice rink that does not include a pool at the current location of Brighton Pool. Brighton Pool does need repair, over $600,000. Most town residents do not want the pool removed from the community. Removing Brighton Pool threatens public safety due to the fact that children will have to cross Sheridan Drive or Colvin Blvd to travel to town's other pools. Removing Brighton Pool devalues the neighborhoods and property values of homes in close proximity. Having pools and ice rinks available to taxpayers makes the neighborhoods close by more attractive to young buyers entering the housing market. The Town of Tonawanda's population is aging and over the next 20 years will see considerable turnover. How do we solve this issue? Should the town consider renovating Brighton Pool and building the new complex across the street on the current baseball diamonds? Should the Town consider building a new outdoor pool adjacent to the new rink? Should the town consider building a new complex that incorporates two ice rinks and an outdoor pool? Let the Town residents decide! This major decision should not be a "one or another" proposition. $8 million dollars is being considered for a new skating complex. If the town is considering spending that much money for a rink, they should consider spending $10 million for both a rink and pool. Both Brighton pool and rink have been enjoyed together for over 60 years. We need to make make a smart investment in our town.Let's consider building a dual purpose complex that taxpayers can enjoy another 60 years! We need a public referendum vote! Please sign this petition supporting saving Brighton Pool! We do not want to choose either a rink or pool... we want to keep both a part of our community!
